The internet has been around for a long time now (sort of).
Back in the early 1960s is when things really started to take shape.
What we know as the internet today is actually the by-product of a few visionary people who saw great potential in allowing computers to share information for research and development in scientific and military fields.
“Hypertext” came about in 1989. Mosaic, the first graphical browser, hit the scene in 1993. Crazy to think that the first web browser came out less than 20 years ago.
I doubt that anyone had Facebook, Google, Twitter or YouTube on their mind when the early internet was being formed.
Internet Topics for Nonprofits
So what’s all this have to do with Internet Topics for Nonprofits?
Since the first web browser came out in 1993 a LOT has happened. We’ve got full blown websites. Email communication. Search Engines. Instant Messaging. Social Networking. Blogging. The ability to manage events, raise money, mobilize volunteers, and so much more!
There’s a LOT we can accomplish on the web.
Our main goal at NetWits Think Tank is to equip you as a nonprofit professional to be successful using the internet. That means we want to provide you with content and resources that help you.
We want to know what’s important to YOU!
