With so
many worrying matters going on in the world today, I always love to hear
success stories from our Clients – to know that differences are still being
made and impacts are being recognized. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has accomplished so much this
year – we previously blogged about their amazing success with the New
Yorkers for Marriage Equality Campaign in June when New York joined 6 other
states in legalizing same-sex marriage. Now along with this emotive
accomplishment and many others throughout 2011, the DMA Nonprofit Federation is
naming HRC the 2011 recipient of its prestigious Nonprofit Organization of the Year Award.
The award recognizes a nonprofit who:
- Has an
outstanding record of sustained achievement in direct marketing
fundraising and has consistently demonstrated successful financial
performance - Is a
recognized leader with a solid reputation for excellence in the nonprofit
and direct marketing communities and with the public at large - Meets
the high ethical standards of the nonprofit community, and complies with
generally accepted standards for management and public disclosure - Has
demonstrated innovative direct marketing techniques
HRC is fittingly being recognized everywhere right now for receiving the distinguished
award. Fundraising Success acclaimed HRC’s triumph in a recent press release along with an article by The Nonprofit Times saluting the grassroots force of
more than 750,000 members and supporters.
On behalf of Convio, we want to congratulate HRC on their recognition by the DMA
Nonprofit Federation and for receiving the notable and highly esteemed award of
Nonprofit of the Year!
