Yesterday, I was in Nashville for the 2010 Tennessee Advancement Resources Council Conference.
The is group is made up schools of close to 30 colleges and universities in the state of Tennessee.
In the morning I held a social media workshop and in the afternoon I delivered the keynote about the “Transformational Impact of Social Media.” The keynote includes some new approaches to thinking about social media from a traditional nonprofit perspective.
Ultimately, this is all about relationship building. The channel or the technology doesn’t change the importance of relationships. I think a lot of this gets lots in the noise, smoke, and buzz of the technology. The new new thing is usually a variation on a theme.
