I’m in Park City, Utah for the 2010 Giving Institute Summer Symposium. This is the first time I’ve spoken at this great event.
The Giving Institute was founded in 1935 to promote the need for professional and ethical standards of practice, and to influence the creation of laws governing philanthropy.
Giving Institute has been involved in many milestones of philanthropy, including creating the Giving USA Foundation, which reports on philanthropic trends.
Today, I am doing a session called “Is Technology Essential to Fundraising?” that covers a lot of topics. It’s good to sometimes have a broader topic and a chance to talk about trends across the nonprofit sector. The session is a mix of lots of new material and some things I’ve presented about in the past.
Below are my the slides for my presentation at the Giving Institute event.
