Sharon Kathryn D'Agostino

Sharon is a passionate advocate for the health, safety, education, and empowerment of girls, women & children globally.  She believes in the strength and inherent wisdom of families and communities when they fully commit to advancing gender equality, access to education, and financial empowerment of all.

Everywhere she has traveled, in distant villages or in communities close to home, she has been moved by the shared and individual challenges women & girls face in recognizing and celebrating their unique strengths and talents, and in pursuing their hopes, aspirations, and dreams.

Sharon launched SayItForward.org, believing that women & girls have much to gain by sharing their stories and by encouraging each other to overcome the fears and self-limiting beliefs that keep them from reaching their fullest potential.  Her hope is that many women & girls will understand that their stories of personal empowerment can and will inspire others who face similar challenges in their lives.

As a former business executive at a Fortune 50 company, Sharon was a compassionate leader of highly motivated and successful teams.  She was a Global President in the company’s consumer sector and then assumed responsibility for the corporation’s citizenship and strategic philanthropy.  Sharon served as one of the first two Private Sector representatives on the Board of The World Health Organization’s Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health and was a Vice-Chair of the U.N.-affiliated MDG Health Alliance.  In 2014, Sharon was named the National Association of Female Executives Global Women's Champion and in 2015, was one of the Women’s eNews 21 Leaders for the 21st Century.
