Sandi Matthews

Sandi Matthews coordinates the AICPA Not-for-Profit Advisory Council and assists with content development for the Not-for-Profit Certificate Program and Not-for-Profit Member Section. Prior to joining the AICPA, Matthews was Controller of North Carolina Community Foundation, a publicly supported charity that sustains nearly 1,200 funds and endowments that provide grants to support a broad range of needs in North Carolina's rural and underserved communities.  Early in her accounting career, Sandi worked as an audit associate at the firm McGladrey LLP serving clients primarily in the not-for-profit sector.

 

A lifelong resident of North Carolina, she is a first-generation college graduate and received her bachelors degree from Meredith College, her masters degree in accounting from North Carolina State University, and a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University.  Sandi is a licensed CPA and, serves on the Board of Directors for the Wake County Commission for Women and the volunteer center Activate Good.
